You’ll graduate from Lincoln College of New England’s Online Bachelor of Science Degree program in Criminal Justice with the professional skills and theoretical knowledge required for positions* in law enforcement, government, state and federal agencies, and the private sector.

• Loss Prevention (Opportunities are typically within the private sector and include such industries as Retail, Healthcare, Hospitality, Insurance, Education, Financial Institutions, and more)
  
  
  
• Private Security and Protection Services (Opportunities with local and national companies include such duties as Uniformed Guarding Services, Patrols and Inspections, Concierge and Receptionist Services, and more)
  
  
  
• Government Agencies and Law Enforcement (Agencies at the federal, state and local levels need well-trained candidates for positions with Correctional Departments, Municipal Facilities, Police Departments, Emergency Call Centers; although your Lincoln education will lay the foundation for entry into this field, depending on your career path, additional training and education may be required.)
  
  
  

Additional career opportunities exist for Criminal Justice majors at the bachelor's degree level. In addition to the career paths listed, some Criminal Justice students go on to work in social work, private security, and risk management.

Employers require criminal background checks of prospective employees. Persons with felony convictions and some misdemeanor convictions may not be able to find work in this field.
