Financial assistance at Lincoln comes in three major forms. These include grants, loans and veterans’ benefits. We also encourage all students to explore any scholarship opportunities that may be available to them.
Grants: Because Lincoln College of New England is regionally accredited, our students qualify for federal Title IV grants. These are grants from the federal government to help you pay for your education. They’re not loans; you don’t have to pay them back.
Loans: Several types of loans are available to Lincoln students.
Stafford Loans - These are loans from the federal government and must be paid back.
Parent PLUS Loans - If you’re classified as a dependent student (dependent on your parents), your parents may qualify for a PLUS Loan to help you pay for college.
Alternative Loans - The loans described above are from the federal government. If you don’t qualify for one of them, our Financial Assistance office can help you apply for an Alternative Loan from another source.
Veterans’ Benefits: If you’re a veteran, our Financial Assistance office will help you apply for educational benefits from the Veterans Administration. This is money that’s paid directly to you every month to help you pay for college.
