Attitudinal
At Lincoln College Online, your instructors will expect you to be ready and eager to participate and learn by interacting with them and with your classmates. Online education is flexible. You’ll be able to fit classes into your busy schedule instead of trying to work your schedule around school. But you do have to meet the minimum participation requirements for each course set by the school and the instructor.
Online students who possess the following qualities typically do very well in their courses. Your Lincoln education will encourage you to become a student who is:
• Involved and active in your courses
• Highly motivated
• Independent
• Organized
• Disciplined
• Industrious
• Creative
• Flexible
That sounds like the perfect student, doesn’t it? Well, your instructors know that nobody’s perfect, and they won’t expect you to be – this is a learning and growing process. And remember, extra help is never more than a phone call or an email away, including unlimited complimentary tutoring.
Technological
You don’t need to be a computer expert, but you will need access to a computer with Internet access, supported software and applicable plug-ins and an email address. You won’t have to buy any software. Everything you’ll need is provided by free download. More detailed information regarding our technical requirements is listed in our Prescreening Questionnaire, located on Step Two of your Online Application, as well as in our official school catalog.
If you run into technical difficulties, the Lincoln College Online Help Desk is available to you 24/7 via phone or email.
