FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION PROCESS

Applying for financial aid can be confusing and time-consuming. The good news is, as with everything you do at Lincoln, you won’t have to do it alone. Your Financial Aid Advisor will be available whenever you need help.

The first time you’ll talk to a Financial Aid Advisor will be when you call to start the admission process. An Advisor will briefly speak as part of your initial admissions telephone interview to you to determine your circumstances and give you some idea of what kind of aid you might be eligible for. Your Financial Aid Advisor won’t be able to give you a dollar amount at that time, of course, but this preliminary conversation will help you begin to understand what you can expect from the Financial Aid process.

Once you’re accepted and enrolled at Lincoln College Online, you’ll get a welcome letter from your Financial Aid Advisor with more complete information and detailed instructions. At this time, your Advisor will also schedule a phone call at a convenient time for you to explain the entire financial aid application process and give you the opportunity to ask questions.

Your next big step will be filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA, which is completed online. But your Financial Aid Advisor will be glad to give you any help you need, even walking you through it, step by step.

You’ll be glad to know that the FAFSA and all the other paper work you need can be completed and submitted online. No need to find a fax machine, printer or scanner, or pay for faxing.

More good news – at Lincoln, the cost of your required textbooks is built into your course tuition, and therefore the cost of books will be packaged in with your financial aid plan. That’s not the case at most traditional colleges where students must pay for their own books separately, and the cost can really mount up. All Lincoln students majoring in one of our design or marketing degree programs also have the option of choosing to purchase a new computer from Lincoln, loaded with all the software they’ll need. Because this computer and software bundle is considered required course tools, this cost will also be included in financial aid.

Applying for financial aid isn’t particularly fun, at any school. But remember that at Lincoln, you’ll have a Financial Aid Advisor who will make it as painless and as uncomplicated and understandable as possible.
